Digit-strings

When English uses a number as a code (a phone, room, channel, or serial number) rather than an amount, write it with the digit-string marker re (written _). A code has no exponent and no percent. The code can then fill whatever role the clause needs (/d/, /b/, /ɡ/).

"Azozon sees 555-123-4567."

Ending is usually -l (exact label); -n for an official designation; -r with digits repeats a code already mentioned. A label keeps its digits exactly as written.

To place an event by a code (on channel 7), put the code in a bl- word after a relation word (/h/ on + bl_7), or put it on a noun as /ɡ/ (channel g_7).

Fields

A comma in a code marks a field: a part that is a value of its own, such as the area code in a phone number or the hour in a clock time. The comma is part of the code, so d_15,30 and d_1530 are different words.

RuleExamples
Put a comma between fieldsversion d_2,1,3 (2.1.3); phone d_555,123,4567 (area code, exchange, line)
Two number fields side by side always take one; without it they merged_15,30 (two fields) is not d_1,530
Drop source punctuation that marks no fieldspaces in a serial number
Do not chunk one long field: pause if you like, but say no theserial d_4071229385
Write a version as separate fields, not a decimal1.2.3 is d_1,2,3

Plural labels

English makes a label plural to name the whole run of labels that start with it: the ’90s are the years 90 through 99, and the 1800s are 1800 through 1899. Put plural -x on the label: z_90x. The final zeros stand for any digit, so _90x covers 90 to 99. Only a label with digits takes -x; a count does not.

"Azozon walked in the ’90s."

Time

To say when something happens by the clock or the calendar (at 15:30, on 22 July), write a digit string under /h/ with no relation word before it. Clock takes marker re (spoken hre, written h_…). Date takes calendar-ordinal oe (spoken hroe, written h_#…). Fields are read by position, so the word already says which number is the hour or the month.

Clock and date together:

JobHow
Clock / scheduleDigit-string ro as bare /h/. Default 24h. Fields left to right; commas are writing only: hour, minute, optional seconds (h_15,30, h_15,30,00).
Calendar dateDigit-string _ with oe (spoken roe, written h_#…). Fields: day, month, optional year (h_#22,7, h_#22,7,2026; modifier g_#22,7). Zero-padding is optional. Write a year as one digit group (2026 is one group). A date may stop after the day (h_#12, on the 12th); context gives the month. You may also name the relation with a date word plus /b/, but you do not need to.
Day of the weekOrdinal on olero weekday, counting from Monday: zolerom grobal is Monday, zolerom grorel is Sunday (the seventh).
Month or year aloneA month is an ordinal on amalo month, counting from January, the same way as weekdays: March is the third month (zamalom grogel). A year is a label on ovuva year (zovuvam g_1962). To place an event in one, put that noun in /b/ after herom during.
When-frameOrdinary lexicon /h/ (until, before, recency), clock/date above, or a signed offset (three hours ago / in three hours). There is no past or future ending. An amount of time (for 3 days) is a relation word plus a measure phrase.

Endings: -l exact; -m fuzzy (around 15:30); -n conventional schedule or date name; -r with digits repeats a clock time or date already mentioned. Timezone, era, and calendar system are ordinary lexicon /h/ beside the number word.

For from … to with clock times, put each time in /b/ after the hooks ul from and oel toward (extra nouns). Right after an ul extra noun, oel and its /b/ close the pair: ul X oel Y is one unit, from X to Y. It works for any two endpoints, not only times.

🔊 zazozon ul brenal oel brebarel vowurol.

z-Azozon | [from | b-_9 | toward | b-_17] | v-walk

"Azozon walks from 9:00 to 17:00."

With one verb, the two halves may also sit on either side of it, as two extra nouns:

zazozon ul b_9 vowurol oel b_17.

🔊 zazozon ul brenal vowurol oel brebarel.

z-Azozon | [from | b-_9] | v-walk | [toward | b-_17]

"Azozon walks from 9:00 to 17:00."

For a decade (the ’90s), use a plural label.

Compare with: a phone or room code uses the same _ marker under /d/ /b/ /ɡ/, not bare /h/. Restrictor har is sometimes.

Not the same job as: hragel (three times) and hrogel (for the third time). Clock time h_15,30 is still a digit-string.
